In today's lesson we have looked at exemplar minutes, from this I have gained an understanding of what is needed in order to gain top marks.
What I need to improve in my minutes is to include:

• Screenshots when giving an example
• Greater depth to why the client has made a comment
• What specifics need to be improved - give an example possible provide a screenshot
• Give a brief bit of context to what will be discussed in next meeting not just the time of the meeting
• Include proactive information to show your moving forward.

From this I will now go back over my previous minutes so that i can improve all of my minutes.

Here i have attached a photo of my mark scheme and peoples comments of my project. From the feedback from other students i am going to blend header in with the blog, try to send a wrong answer to a difffernet page rather than allowing them to select the right answer after getting it wrong. Include video and sound by tuesday.

In todays lesson i have completed my Q2 of my quiz, from doing today i can now complete the quiz quicker due to gaining a strong understadning of how this will work. I have added more questions about the background of tennis as my client thought It would be benefiticial for the juniors to understand tennis as a sport not just how to play it.

This is an example of my quesiton, when mathcing everything up i took a screenshot of the positioning of everything on the page so i have a consistent housestyle throughtout.

This is an example of how I kept track of all the positioning throughout the guide. By keeping everything the same size it will be benefiticial and meet my clients requiremtns in the fact that the hosuestyle will be professional and consistent throughout.

In today's lesosn I have solved a navigation problem, where the buttons where not linking due to changing the names of scenes in order to make the desiging process easier for myself. I have now started to make my quiz with Q1, Q2 complete I am now making certain items invisible and then show when a certain button is clicked.

In today’s lesson I have completed my animation for my home screen. This took a lot of advanced skills to get the timing all synced together. In addition to this I have added my text to my home screen which works as an introduction to the guide.

In todays lesson I have been animating a tennis silhouette to have an animation where it creates a image of him hitting a serve accros the home page. This came with some probelms in the fact that when creating the shoudler kept moving away from his body therefore meaning ive had to edit alot of things and create the timing.

Here is my silhouette animation that i have created for my homepage of the guide. When in my prototype 1 meeting my client liked this feature in the fact that the juniors at the club will enjoy this animation.

My client was also intersted in the making of this animation, above is a screen shot of the layers i have used to create this animation. To get the timing right it took alot of changing to each layer individually in order to get the animation moving in sync with eachother.

Today’s lesson was a mare. Nothing went right starting with failing to be able to find my previous work after 30minutes of searching. I then started again and then my buttons would not function correctly with any clear reason to why they were not working. Overall this lesson has been a failure.

Website analysis of the Arsenal website

This website has been designed as an informative webpage to show fans and users the newest information off the club. The main homepage is designed well for quick and easy access. At the top of the page it has a clear navigation system with drop down menus to navigate through the website.

  This is a screenshot of the drop down menus form the website. The colour scheme is good and enables users to clearly see each navigation. The colour scheme is also the club colours and works as a consistent house style throughout the website.                              

To the right is an example of the news headlines. This is a good system the website has, as the most recent and top stories are shown at the top of the page with pictures. Then to allow users to view the rest of the news stories you are able to see the other most recent stories below. This will enable users to keep up to date on news stories even if they haven’t visited the website in a few days. The colour scheme is still the same to match the housestyle which adds to websites professional look. One downside that could be improved on the website is that the text for the extra news stories is small. To ensure that users can see this the text could be made bigger to ensure the usability is easy.

At the bottom of the webpage there is a small results section, which shows the last fixtures result and who arsenal, are playing in their next fixture. This section could be improved by including results from all fixtures that weekend or to show where arsenals are positioned in the league. Just to improve the accessibility of the website rather than navigating through pages which will add time and may reduce peoples user experience on the website.

This is another page of the website, it is clearly shown for the first team and all the people involved within the 1^st team. The usability is easy and good for each player by clicking on their name you are linked to their personal profile. Each player has their own personal profile with their own details. The text and colours for this page is easy to read and can easily by viewed by all users.

In today’s lesson we have looked at the usability of websites. The website we used was http://beta.bbc.co.uk/ on this website we analysed different areas and then emailed the BBCtell them our feedback. The feedback I gave is shown below:

We assessed:

·         Find out the latest headlines

·         Find out the weather for your local area

·         See the TV Lineup

·         Radio live stream

·         The main home page of the beta version is very clear and easy to use – the top news stories are clearly shown at the top of the page. ·         The weather is clearly located at the top – however this should be shown with more detail and features as users may want to know a specific time for that day. Therefore by including an extras features for the weather.	·         However on the links to iPlayer it can be seen as misleading as people may not be aware that you can click the whole video to view. But with the I that is shown the users may think you need to click the icon to view the video. ·         The exchange rates are quite hard to locate and as they are a key factor off the UK’s economy they should be easily accessible.

This was sent in an email for the BBC.

After this I was paired with Rosie: here I assessed her multimedia design from 5 different tasks. This helped me to see how other people are working. Rosie then tested my guide from these guidelines:

·         Locate the buttons

·         The design of the product & layout

·         The navigation layout

·         Pictures (relevant?)

·         Animation

This was helpful as I got an external view of product and how to improve it.

• Add an extra feature such as an animated ball bouncing at the side of the page.
• Extra navigation at the bottom of the page if you need to scrool down to save scrolling back up.

In todays lesson i have been creating my buttons and adding my animation to these buttons. When creating the buttons i made a not of the co ordinates to make sure everything was the same size and level.
I have attached an example of the button and the co ordinates i ahev used for the home button and tutorial button. I made a not of these so i could remeber them and not make any errors. This helped me to ensure it was of a good quality.

Today I have started the creation of my project.
Firstly i imported my background for the project into flash, this didn't work first time so i needed to change the size of this to fit the flash project correctly.
I have now started to create my buttons for the project. Firstly I made the ball spin at first i had to remind myself of how to create the movie clip for the button. I am now creating the text in photoshop for the navigaiton.

In todays lesson i have completed my test table and started my storyboards for my videos. For homework i am going to complete the storyboards for monday and check all homework is ready for hand in.

In todays lesson I have been working on my test table. I have completed 2/3 of the pages and nearly completed the last page. For homework I am going to check that I have tested all items and that I have included all features such as sound and all animation. For next lesson.

In todays lesson I have finished my prototype anaylsis and created another prototype page. This was because I relaised I needed an extra page for my design. I was slightly behind on my planing due to not completly as much work as planned over the holidays. I have now changed this in order to meet my target deadlines with less days to complete different future tasks which i am quicker at completing.

In today's lesson i have prepared my prototype designs ready to evaluate. I have also got my initial designs ready to hand in for next lesson. I added a few additional tests to my test table. The problems i occured during the lessons where that my prototypes were having layout issues which i took a while to re arrange and organisise it professionally.

Today i have completed 3 pages of my test table and finalised my prototype designs.  I will carry on with this for my homework.

In yesterdays lesson i completed 3/4 pages of my planning on photoshop. I will carry on with this and then move on to making my first protype.

Today i have included all the pages and extras of my naviagtional structure.
For homework i am going to check through all of my navigational structure and add text to describe the transitions from page to page. I also will start on my designs.
